Trades that affect your termite protection
A new pool, slab or extension changes the ground around a house, so the termite management for that work has to be planned before the concrete is poured, including any pre-pour soil treatment. Ask the builder who is responsible for it and keep the paperwork with your termite records.
Renovations and new slabs
The guide to renovations and termite protection covers extensions, decks and service work around existing protection, including junctions, access and handover records.
Rules and records
The Queensland termite treatment rules page sets out licences, AS 3660 standards and council triggers. If the records for your property are incomplete, see missing termite treatment records.
Units and shared buildings
For a shared building, see shared building termite inspections: site scope, resident access, location maps and how the report is distributed.
